How to Control Your Taste

I’m not saying here to not pick things that you like. You always have to pick things that you like. But you have to avoid going too far. On the opposite end of the spectrum is not doing enough, but this is harder to do.
You want to stay in middle. That middle area is a very hard area to judge. It is primarily using your gut; judging others reactions to work that you create. You don’t have to use everything that people say, but if you get the same message from more than one person they might have a valid point.

Big Things come in Small Packages

You are the little guy competing with a whole bunch of other little guys for the same jobs. You are a small firm competing with the big players. Image is everything and content is king. Having a well thought out image can be easy. It is not having everything out there at once, it is developing something simple that show cases you at your best.
A key element to that is a simple design. But you can’t go overboard in what you do. Content is where it gets difficult. You just say what you want to say as simple as possible. If you don’t get it right on the first try just do it again, do it as many times as you need.

Control Your Image with Professional Printers

Professional Printers can be a great way to save both time and money. Plus it allows you to look good without having the technical skill. But when you want to switch printers you typically run into problems. You have to change everything because the design that you like will not typically go with you to the new printer.
If you own the graphics they can go with you. Most professional printers have a blank design where you can upload the graphic of your choice (it may cost you extra as one time design upload fee), provided it meets size requirements and picture quality requirements (typically dpi – dots per inch).

The Art of Business Sales Pieces

Think all business sales pieces have to be difficult to produce and expensive. Think again, you can create effective business sales pieces yourself. You start out by figuring out what the goal of the business sales piece. To achieve this goal you work with two primary elements text and graphics. With text you want to get your point across quickly and not be too wordy.
Graphics may not always be needed. Graphics, although always nice they may not be the best way to sell your product. A simple piece with well placed text looks just as nice as a piece with a lot of graphics.
